Absolutely loved my experience at Café Mise en Place! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food is beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looks. You can tell a lot of care goes into the ingredients and preparation, with every dish full of fresh flavours and balance. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again, whether for a relaxed breakfast, a quick coffee, or a long catch-up with friends. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional coffee, food, and service.

A new cafe in Mt Eliza that feels like you’re stepping right into France ???????? the flavours of the food are incredible! We tried the French onion soup, Croque monsieur, chicken baguette and vanilla slice and all were 10/10. The staff are super friendly and you can tell they are super passionate and proud of their food. The ambiance of the cafe is in a great location too and lovely spot to sit outside in the sun. We will be back!!!

This café is one of the best on the Mornington Peninsula. The attention to detail in customer service is legendary. The delicious pies will have you come back time and time again. In fact everything that is made here is cooked prepared with a clear love of the cullinary experience. Let's not forget mentioning the barista, world class coffee. Mt Eliza is a top destination because of Café Mise en place. Worth a day trip just for a vannila slice with a dope latte.

I stopped by this café during my cycling trip through Australia. I had a flat white and a Danish — both were absolutely delicious! The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced, and the pastry was fresh and flaky. The vibe of the café was really nice too — cozy, welcoming, and a great spot to relax. This place was the perfect stop on my ride. I’d definitely come back again!

Really lovely café with the friendliest staff and most delicious food (and coffee of course!). This has become my favourite coffee shop in the area. They also have great veggie and gluten free options.

This is my favorite cafe! My dad, Duke and I go every day, as it’s the best way to start your day with every other regular. The staff are so kind and welcoming—everyone always has a smile and you can tell they love their work. The food is delicious, and the coffee is unbeatable. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great company, great food, and the best coffee in town. I confidently recommend it to everyone and every dog in and around Mount Eliza :)

The Food We ordered croissants with fresh greens, cheese, and mushrooms, and they were perfectly flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The balance of textures and the quality of ingredients made each bite a delight. It’s clear that Cafe Mise en Place takes pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create simple yet elegant dishes. The Atmosphere The cafe is an excellent blend of lively and peaceful, making it a great spot to enjoy a slow morning with a good cup of coffee. The outdoor seating is particularly lovely, allowing you to soak in the sun while sipping your coffee. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience.

This little French café is an absolute gem! The French onion soup is divine, and the homemade vanilla slice is honestly the best I’ve ever had (and I’m very fussy!). The service is always great, and it’s become a favourite spot for us — my husband has even requested food from here for his Father’s Day celebration. Highly recommend!
